My fifth grade teacher was Mr. Miller. Creative writing was at the very core of our classroom work. His encouragement and generosity with us as very, very, young writers was stunning and life changing. Since then I’ve never stopped writing. It has been the constant and most accessible source of creativity. Language shows up across mediums: song lyrics – poems set to chamber music – making short films about words – posters – and being the letter itself.
I’ve read at open mics in New England and been a featured reader numerous times. I have one chapbook to date: An Arc of Something Else.
